Each gearbox that comes in for repair is completely stripped down, cleaned, inspected, repaired and rebuilt to the highest standards possible. Every gearbox is pressure tested with transmission oil, the hydraulic control units are stripped, cleaned, inspected and rebuilt and then tested on either the "hydra" test machine, using hot oil, or one of our diagnostic test machines. All this is done before the gearbox is assembled back into the vehicle.
If your gearbox is beyond repair then by agreement we will remove it and replace it with a re-manufactured and guaranteed unit.

All our reconditioned gearboxes are cleaned and examined for any external damage, the transmission is then dismantled and components are sorted for cleaning or replacement. All the parts are thoroughly washed and de-scaled to restore it to it's original finish. The valve body is tested and calibrated to factory specification with the spring loaded valves, check balls, solenoids and servo pistons checked, tested and replaced if required. The whole unit is then re-assembled and tested on either the "hydra" test machine, using hot oil, or one of our diagnostic test machines.
